With Spring Training underway, position battles at Catcher, First Base, Left Field, and Pitcher are heating up.

Rangers Add Arms, Bats

The Rangers boosted their offense and pitching by adding Manny Ramirez (4 Years, $64.04M) and Jon Garland (4 Years, $16.45M). The Rangers dropped Omar Vizquel and Elizardo Ramirez to make room for the newly signed players. With the exit of Vizquel, Joaquin Arias will be the team's starting shortstop, barring the signing of another shortstop.
